The package includes four nights at the two-and-a-half star Hotel Candia, located in the center of the city, opposite the railway station and close to Parthenon, the National Archaeological Museum, the Plaka, the Museum of Greek Folk Art, the Olympic Stadium and the Agora market. The hotel has air conditioned rooms, private amenities, a bar and a roof garden with a view of the city and the Acropolis. Additional nights at Hotel Candia start at $46 for a double room in November.

The package includes five other hotel options from $549 and up, depending on the date of travel. An optional half-day tour of Athens is available for $58 and a day-cruise to Hydra is $106, including lunch.

A five-night escorted tour of Greece is available from $699, and it includes roundtrip airfare from New York City, a tour of Athens, Delphi and Kalambaka, hotel accommodations in each city, daily breakfast, arrival transfers, air-conditioned motor coach transportation and an English-speaking tour guide.

To put the value of these packages in perspective, roundtrip airfare to Athens alone starts at $604 on major carriers from New York City and $816 (KLM) from Los Angeles in November.
