Why It's a Deal The biggest savings comes from the hotel price. A city-view double at the Royal Palm Resort in April typically costs around $266 per night midweek, including taxes and fees. A four-night stay is about $1,064, or $532 per person. For $147 more per person ($599 plus taxes of $80), Online Vacation Center's package covers the four nights' accommodations as well as round-trip airfare and all taxes.

Trip Details The Online Vacation Center package includes round-trip airfare to either Miami or Fort Lauderdale, depending on availability, and four nights at the Royal Palm Resort, a ritzy 414-room hotel in Miami's South Beach.

In addition to its location right on the beach, the Royal Palm Resort features two outdoor pools, a whirlpool, and water activities including parasailing, scuba diving and wave running. The art deco-style lobby pays homage to South Beach's artistic history, as does the Deco Lounge bar. You'll find a blend of Caribbean and American cuisine at the hotel's Britto Restaurant overlooking the ocean. If you'd like to extend your stay, extra nights at the Royal Palm Resort are $125 per person per night through March 31 and $105 per person per night from April 1 through September 30.

South Beach is the destination of choice for celebs, retirees, and college students alike. The Royal Palm Resort is within walking distance of Miami attractions like the Bass Museum of Art and the Holocaust Memorial as well as the Lincoln Road shopping district and famed Ocean Drive.

Other popular attractions include the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, a 34-room villa filled with European art and antiques; the Biltmore Hotel Tour, a glimpse of Miami's glamorous past; and Everglades National Park. Find more on what to see and do in Miami by visiting the visitors bureau website.

April and May are among the best months to travel as temperatures average 75-80 degrees Fahrenheit and hurricane season (June through November) hasn't kicked in yet. February and March tend to be a bit cooler—and more expensive, at least in terms of this package. Before you go, check the local forecast at BudgetTravel.com.
